Xbox SmartGlass application from Microsoft was received well by Windows Phone, Android and iOS users since its launch just a month ago. The reason for the app being such a hit was the additional content that this app brought to Xbox 360.
The company had already released an update for Android users in order to better support the app on Android devices. Now, it has updated the application for iOS so as to provide better support for the 16:9 aspect ratio of iPhone 5. The app now makes use of every inch of the iPhone screen. Not much else has been added in the update except optimizing for iPhone 5 and some bug fixes.
The updated version of the app also allows support for Halo 4 stats on your iPhone. Microsoft has been pretty fast in releasing these updates. Ever since releasing the application a month ago, the Xbox SmartGlass app for Android already received an upgrade so that it could be supported in seven inch tablets like the Nexus 7 from Google. Now it is the turn of iOS devices especially the iPhone 5. Full support is imparted to the latest smartphone from Apple making use of all four inches of its screen.
Another tidbit that has been revealed is that users who buy and download 'The Dark Knight rises' from their Xbox through Xbox video can access some extra content relating to the movie by making use of Xbox SmartGlass app. Storyboards, trivia, quotes from actors and more can be checked out while viewing the film.
The app is built for both iPad and iPhone and is of size 35.4 MB. Click here to download the updated Xbox SmartGlass app for iOS devices via iTunes.
