Canon announces new SX260HS a super zoom GPS camera

Canon revealed its Power Shot SX model – the Power Shot SX260 HS. It’s sleek and is designed in a very modern style. It’s loaded with some of the very new technology for images with better clarity and quality. It’s an apt companion for holiday travels and tours with its amazing features that includes detailed HD video recording.

The camera comes in four attractive colours. It’s the Canon's slimmest 20x zoom camera and gives its user the luxury of Canon’s signature quality images. This is done with the help of the latest DIGIC 5-powered HS System and also the IS technology embedded in it makes that an easy task for the camera. Its compact design makes it highly portable and fits well in the pockets. The Power Shot SX260 HS has a list of many desirable features like the GPS integrated in it, which helps the user to record the travels made and retrace them on a map.

Power Shot SX260 HS is designed with an enhanced 20x optical zoom, with a wide angle specification of 25mm wide-angle. The lens has a 4 stop optical Image Stabilizer (IS). The high resolution sensor in the camera helps it to give a detailed zooming digitally. The New Zoom Plus feature in the device makes the zoom utility capable of giving up to 39x assisted by the DIGIC 5 for increased processing power.

With the new Canon Power shot, it’s very easy to switch between the photos and videos. The one touch record feature is a boon which enables the user to quickly switch from the photography mode to video recording in Full HD (1080p) and that too along with its stereo sound.
