Offering DSLR like image quality and experience, Sony has announced its new high end device titled as Sony NEX-C3.Its a camera for every one disregarding its aspects of professionalism, while it is an apt one for professionals too. The camera as a whole is one stop buy of all the present day technology that could have possibly happened to the digital photography. It features,
Excellent quality images
Lightning speed Autofocus
Specially designed new and attractive lens mount and range of optics
The camera will be having accessorial kits like a section of E-mount lenses available that consists of an
18-15 mm kit
18-20 mm and
A 16 mm f/2.8 compact prime and a
Couple of wide angle converters
It is worth noticing that the size of the sensor is exactly the same as available in the DSLR cameras and resultantly will have its influence in the ISO sensitivities especially for clicking on images in low light.
It’s no bigger than any regular compact cameras presently available in the market. Weighing just a 225 g it can’t be said to be a heavier one from Sony. The surprise strikes when one knows it’s just the 18-55 mm kit that’s causing all the weight, well, at least most of it. The first holds on the camera wouldn’t seem much like a comfortable one but once the user get to know where to grip, it’s quite easy to handle.
Another specialty is the soft buttons used and also the one touch video recording button in the camera placed at the top right corner. There is a chance of accidental pressing of the button when the camera switches to power saving mode making the button hardly visible and thus recording unwanted videos and washing away the power from the battery. But the 1080 mAh battery packs enough for the entire unit and such accidental happenings.
Provided in the rear is a 3 inch LCD screen display that most surprisingly can be twisted and tilted to convenience. It allows a 45 degree turn and good enough to be used as a waist finder. The display is bright and clear and is equipped for effort less outdoor photography with its anti reflective coatings. The menus are easily noticeable and perfectly set for an easy navigation.
One thing if that Sony hasn’t made even a slight compromise, if asked, will be on the image resolution and clarity. It is brilliant and unmatched. There aren’t any issues when it comes to that and the weaknesses arise only in focusing and composing the images when it’s in low light. Setting all that apart, it’s quite an apt choice for the performers. Price range is yet to be confirmed officially though it is expected in the range of more than Rs 30, 000.
