Nikon Introduces Telephoto Zoom Lens AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/4G ED VR
Nikon Corporation has introduced a new Telephoto Zoom Lens to the world of Photography. The new product is dubbed Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/4G ED VR. The new lens is designed for Nikon FX compliance and has the capability to cover 70 to 200mm focal length range together with a fixed maximum aperture of f/4.
The new lens is able to provide users with superior rendering by means of focusing from infinity to close-up. The most useful feature in the lens is the presence of built-in ‘Vibration Reduction’. This feature allows better handheld shooting capabilities by eliminating the effects of camera shakes.
Telephoto Zoom Lens also features a ‘Nano Crystal Coat’ which is designed for preventing any kind of unnecessary internal reflections including flares. The auto focusing functionality happens in a silent manner with the presence of Silent Wave Motor. Users can choose from especially two focus modes. The two modes are A/M and M. ‘A/M’ stands for autofocus with manual override and ‘M’ stands for Manual Focus. The new Telephoto Zoom Lens also provides users with the ability to capture macro photographs with a closest focusing distance of 1 meter.
Nikon has taken special care in making the Telephoto Zoom Lens smaller and much lighter compared to the previous 70-200mm lens, at the same time maintaining the enhanced image quality and performance that users expect from a usual NIKKOR lens. Autofocus functionality will also be supported when a teleconverter providing 2 x magnifications is included in the lens on a D4, D800, D800E or D600 offering f/8 support.
The portable weight along with smaller size makes it a perfect choice for users. Nikon has informed that they have been working on the demands and expectations of the photographers. Nikon continues its efforts at providing enhanced photographic capabilities with highly functional and high performance lenses, as part of strengthening their NIKKOR line-up.
