Sony launches 3 new camera models


There is happy news for Sony fans as it has unveiled its 3 new cyber shot point and shoot digital cameras. With these new innovations, the customers can experience great pictures and videos all within a reasonable price range.

The new camera models include: 

  • Sony DSC-WX50

  • Sony DSC-WX70

  • Sony DSC-TX200V

Key features of Sony DSC-WX50:

  • 2.7 inch screen

  • 16MP image sensor with 5x zoom

  • Image stabilization

  • 25-125mm f/2.6-6.3 Carl Zeiss zoom lens

  • 1080i60 video capturing ability

The price of Sony DSC-WX50 would come around Rs. 10,000/-.Key features of Sony DSC-WX70:

  • 3 inch screen

  • 16MP image sensor with 5x zoom

  • Image stabilization

  • 25-125mm f/2.6-6.3 Carl Zeiss zoom lens

  • 1080i60 video capturing ability

The price of Sony DSC-WX70 would come around Rs. 12,000/-.Key features of Sony DSC-TX200V:

  • 18MP image sensor with 5x zoom

  • 1080i60 video capturing ability

  • Image stabilization

  • Water and dust proof

  • 3.3 inch OLED touchscreen

  • GPS facility for tagging images

The price of Sony DSC-TX200V would come around Rs. 25,000/-.

 

All the 3 models will feature 5x zoom lenses along with Exmor R CMOS sensors. Apart from these 3 new cyber shot point and shoot digital cameras, Sony has also unveiled its new handheld camcorder dubbed as PMW-100. It has got the credit to be the smallest cam in the XDCAM product line. It sports a 1/2.9 inch Exmor CMOS sensor, long GOP compression technology and a 5.4-54mm zoom lens. 

MXF record and playback facility based on MPEG HD422 codec is also incorporated. Furthermore, it also features full HD video of up to 50 Mbps. It also includes provision for high speed SxS PRO memory cards, Memory Stick media, XQD cards and SD cards for recording media. PMW-100 would be made obtainable to the customers by May this year for a price of around Rs. 2,25,000/-. 

Moreover, Sony has also announced its new remote cam dubbed as BRC-H900. With HD resolution of 1920 x1080 pixels in HD-SDI mode it includes three ½ type Exmor HD CMOS sensors. It will come with a price tag of around Rs. 7,25,000/-. 

The officials have also added that 2 of its live production cameras including HDC-2000 and the HDC-2550 will also hit the market soon. These are designed to offer the users with an advanced quality picture with the help of a newly developed 2/3 inch CCD image sensor and a 16-bit A/D converter. The pricing details of these 2 cams are not yet revealed.
