Aakash 2 to be launched without any price hike

The Indian Government's “Gadget For the Masses”, the Aakash 2 will now be launched without any hike in it's price. This news puts to rest the various speculations that were doing the rounds. One such speculation was the hike in price of the tablet. This had upset various people across India especially the student community. But with the Indian Government putting an end to all these, people can relax & happily buy the Aakash 2 .

The Tablet Computer is going to be released in the month of April officially. The Aakash 2 is now going to cost just a fraction above Rs 2000. According to the Indian Human Resource Development Minister, Kapil Sibal, the gadget is sure to be hit with the student community. Since the earlier version of the Aakash tablet had failed to cater to it's target audience, various improvements have been made this time. The tablet has now been upgraded considerably which makes it a “feature-filled yet affordable computer”.

The H.R.D Minister said that the “Disadvantaged & Economically Backward” students are going to obtain maximum benefit from the Aakash 2. This tablet is now being manufactured jointly by Datawind, ITI-Bombay, ITI-Rajasthan, CDAC, ITI-Rajasthan& Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. The Government has targeted at providing the Aakash 2 to all the students in India over the next couple of years.

Thus, we can say that the Government Of India is surely in the right direction this time. Industry insiders predict that this novel initiative is going to be a sure success. Let us hope that this is a success.  As for the modifications in the Aakash 2, there is an upgraded battery which provides a sufficiently long battery backup. There are other features that are surely going to make this gadget a “Must Have “ in India.
