Classpad tablet can be considered as the improved version of Aakash. Certainly the specifications are better than Aakash. But this improvement has caused the Classpad’s pricing to be above that of Aakash but both come under the budget tablet pc category.

Both the devices run on the Android Froyo operating system. They have all the  functionality of a regular sized tablet. Aakash runs on a 366 MHz processor where as Classpad runs on a 1GHz processor making it faster than Aakash. The RAM and internal memory of Classpad is also superior to Aakash. It packs in 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage compared to the 256MB RAM and 2GB storage of Aakash. The tablets are centered on learning so they are filled with lots of learning applications and facilities. Classpad comes in various versions differing in screen size and features so the user can select the one most appropriate to his/her needs and of course budget. The screen sizes of Classpad tablets are 7.1 inch, 8 inch and 10 inch.

Aakash and Classpad tablets are both excellent tablets and the gain that Aakash has against Classpad is in it's price tag. Aakash is priced at little over Rs.2,500/- in India . Classpad tablets come in different models whose price ranges from Rs.6,500/- to Rs.14,500/- in India .

Still this cannot be considered as a very huge price tag for feature-rich devices. Both of them offer the buyer with good value for their money. So if a low cost feature rich tablet is what you are looking for then look no further than the Aakash as well as Classpad tablets.
