The new Ultra book from Acer is powered by Intel Core i3, Core i5, or Core i7 second generation efficient processors. The system is thus undoubtedly fast. The unit comes preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium. The laptop comes loaded with a 13.3 inch LED backlit LCD TFT display with a pixel resolution of 1366 X 768.
The ultrabook is neatly designed with utmost care giving the gadget a smooth finish metallic body chassis. The system has an 8 GB RAM for a faster response. A SATA Hard Disk with an optional SSD (solid state drive) is also a quality offer by the company. Set along side is a memory card reader.
The light weight laptop is ultra thin too with its thinnest edges measuring just a 0.51 inch thickness. The key pad design is another notable feature in the new Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook Features. The key pad is a chiclet keyboard with a multi touch track pad. This makes it really easy to work with the ultra book, with the key pad being so comfortable to type.
The new laptop is set with advanced connectivity options for easy data transfer and network access. The new Acer Aspire S3 has a much updated version of the WiFi device (wireless LAN 802.11n). The Bluetooth device in the ultra book is also a very newer version of the Bluetooth device, version 4.0.
The power management of the unit is made efficient for an undisrupted performance of the ultra book. Special care has been given while designing the batteries for the ultra book, because it can't be made too heavy for it will reflect in the weight of the unit as a whole. So, steps have been taken to make it light weight without making compromises in its efficiency. The battery in the Acer Aspire S3 can give up to 7 hour continuous power supply and up to 50 days in sleep mode. The new laptop is claimed to have instant web connectivity. The price in India for Acer Aspire S3 is however not known yet.
