Alienware launches new X51 a small gaming desktop: Nvidia GeForce GTX 545
Alienware is a favourite among the gamers because of their line-up of computers and peripherals that are dedicate to gaming. The company has brought into the market quite many gaming laptops too. Now it seems that they are again concentrating on the desktop segment.
The latest offering is a capsule size gaming desktop. The device is named as Alienware X51. This is the apt device for gamers for whom space is a major consideration. This can be considered as the smallest gaming desktop that is available in the market. But don’t let the size fool you this is one very powerful device.

But in X51 style really meets substance. Since the market is now concentrating on simple designs X51 too has a similar styling. The design is simple, compact and yet has the signature Alienware uniqueness to it.
The device is just about 3 inches wide and about a foot long. If you like LED lighting then you are in for a treat. The machine has different lighting zones and gives you a wide array of light based on the game or application running.
This combination of flashing lights, swapping colours and all combines to give a real alien look to the unit. On first look it will remind you of Xbox gaming console. But the company knows that a gaming console is entirely different from a PC and a PC’s capabilities are determined by its hardware specs.
X51 users can choose from between i3, i5 or i7 processors to go with their devices. Most of the gamers might choose the i7 processor due to its higher clock speed and processing capabilities. The system memory of the device is about 8 GB. Gaming is made possible with the presence of powerful Nvidia graphics card.
The user can choose from between Nvidia’s GTX 545 or GTX 555 graphics card. The optical drive provided is DVD and can be upgraded to Blu-Ray if the user demands. 802.11n Wi-Fi is present on all variants and this lets the user to access online games if needed.
