Amazon Kindle Fire is one of the most recognized and sold tablet around the world. Its amazing price tag combined with good range of specs and finalities has made it a favourite amongst many. Recently Amazon has announced that there Kindle Fire tablets will get a software update. The new update will bump the tablet OS to version 6.3. Many new features are added with the update.
With the update the users will be able to share notes and pictures very easily from their tablets. If the user is typing something and feels to share it with any social networking applications just highlight the sentences and select the ‘Share’ option. Notes can too be written and shared like this to social networking sites or among friends as needed.
Book Extras is another feature added and is supported by Shelfari. This feature allows the user to get all complimentary materials and information about the book that they are reading. Information about authors, characters in the book, glossary of words used etc can be obtained and all this without leaving the book.
Personal documents will now be automatically saved to Amazons cloud services. When the user needs to access them just log in and get the required content. Digital prints of the text books can now be downloaded and used via Amazon tab. These print replicas can help to save up to about 60% of the price of the original text or book.
Movie rentals are now more optimized. Before movie rentals where charged, from the time a customer starts to download the same. But with the new update they will be charged only from the time a person starts to see the movie. The overall performance of the tablet is also increased and the Wi-Fi reconnect time is given sufficient improvements.
To do the update, initially check which software version you are using. If it is 6.2.2 or earlier then you can do the update. First charge your tablets battery to full capacity. Then connect to the internet from a Wi-Fi hot spot. Then update the software via Sync option in the Quick settings icon. Then you can resume using you tablet and the software update will be done in the background. Once the download is complete and the Kindle Fire tablet goes into sleep mode the new software will kick in and you will find the changes and improvements.
