Apple Unveils New Slimmer, Fanless 12-inch Retina MacBook Laptop
Apple has unveiled an all-new MacBook with a 12-inch Retina Display at a launch event in San Francisco. The super thin notebook measures just 13.3mm thick, making it the slimmest MacBook ever made.
Apple claims "reinvents the notebook" weighs 2 pounds. It is 24% thinner than the company's smallest computer device. The new MacBook features a 12-inch Retina display with a 2304 x 1440 pixel resolution. The display boasts over 3.3 million pixels and is just 3.3 millimeters thin, making it the thinnest display ever built into a Mac.

The new MacBook is powered by the latest Intel Core M chipset. The 1.3GHz processor can be TurboCharge to 2.9GHz for all you daily needs.
As speculated, the trackpad has also been redesigned to fit the thinner chassis of the MacBook. Simply dubbed the "Force Touch trackpad," it features a glass multi-touch surface with four force censors, as well as the Taptic Engine introduced with the Apple Watch for haptic feedback.
In terms of connectivity options, the 12-inch MacBook features just a single USB-C port, which will be used for the power supply as well as for an HDMI connection, along with 802.11 ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. The new MacBook also promises a full day's worth of battery life, which should be around 10 hours.
The new MacBook with Retina Display will cost $1,299 (approximately Rs. 81, 837) for the standard price. And in case, if you wish to buy a high-end model, then it will cost $1,599 (approximately Rs. 100,800) with a faster processor and more storage space. The notebook will start shipping April 10. It will be sold in three colors: Silver, Space Grey and Gold.
Apple updates Macbook Air and Pro line-ups
At its just concluded Watch event in San Francisco, Apple also announced upgrades to both the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro ranges. Now, the MacBook Air will come with a new fifth-generation Intel Cores processor, and will also boast Thunderbolt 2 connectivity. The MacBook Pro, on the other hand, will be updated with the latest generation Intel processor. In addition, it has got the new Force Touch Trackpad.
