Dell, the manufacturers who never make a compromise when it comes to the performance of their gadgets have announced a new Dell workstation from the family. The new workstation is named Dell Precision M600. As the name states, the machine is configured with precision, making it one of the most efficient and powerful workstation currently available in the market. The starting specification for a machine in the series starts with a Sandy Bridge Core i5 processor and an 8 GB of 1,333 MHz DDR3 RAM. A lesser specification is not available.

The processor for the new Dell workstation is indeed a second generation with a Core i7 running at a clock speed of 2.5 GHz which is definitely the fastest. The memory is an 8 GB by default and it can be expanded to 32 GB with a 1,600 MHz DDR3. Another option is a 32 GB with 1,333 MHz DDR3. Dell Precision M600 Laptop has twin hard disk within making the system highly reliable with a 250 GB and 750 GB at 7,200 RPM. The hard disk specification can be opted to a 256 GB SSDs through the Dell websites.

The Dell Precision M600 workstation is fitted with a full HD screen with a resolution of 1920 X 1080.The display will be a full Adobe RGB gamut. The screen display is a multi touch enabled assisted with a four point control and is 17.3 inch in size. The wireless connectivity in the device is an 802.11 b/g/n WiMax. It even supports a 3G and a GPS utility. The security features include a finger print scanner to prevent unauthorised access to the work station. Other advantages in the new Dell workstation include a TPM chip, an Nvidia optima 4000M graphics. They alone have a 2 GB of GDDR5 RAM.

The backlit keyboard is really useful with a track pad with three buttons. Set along the side of the laptop is two USB2 ports, one activated with an eSATA combo port and two USB 3 ports. Dell Precision M600 will also feature a full HDMI, NGA, Gigabit Ethernet, a DVD burner with optional Blue Ray drive, SD card reader, etc.

The price in India for the Dell Precision M600 is decided according to the configuration selected and it starts from Rs 95,266.
