Dell has taken the wraps off its new product range that will make up its Windows 8 offerings promising for enterprise clients. The XPS 12 convertible, Latitude 10 tablet, Latitude 6430u Ultrabook, OptiPlex 9010 All-in-One with touch and the S2340T Win8 multi-touch monitor are the new products unveiled by Dell in India today.

The new products come equipped with enterprise ready features, an intuitive touch experience, the security and manageability required by today’s always-on pace and with the design aesthetic, style and precision workmanship customers’ demand. This will help in enabling companies to give employees devices they want to use while maintaining the IT security and manageability necessary for enterprise-class deployments.

 

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. P. Krishnakumar, Executive Director, Marketing, Dell India said, “The combination of new Dell hardware and Windows OS will allow customers to create and consume content in new and exciting ways which makes technology more accessible and intuitive.” He further added, “The new products launched today are all about maximizing the balance between end user preferences, productivity and IT control, backed by robust customer service, aimed at helping users and IT departments navigate the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) landscape.”

 

As far as the pricing and availability is concerned, the new Windows 8 range from the manufacturer will cost you a lot. While, XPS 12 convertible will be available from today at a starting price of Rs. 90,490 including taxes, OptiPlex 9010 All-In-One- available from November 10 will be priced starting at Rs. 49,990. On the other hand, Latitude 6430u Ultrabook will be available mid November at a starting price of Rs 69,990 and Latitude 10 tablet available in November end will hit the market shelves at a starting price of Rs 42,490. Lastly, S2340T multi-touch monitor will be available early 2013 at an undisclosed price.

XPS 12 Convertible

Dell tapped its heritage of offering unique and innovative solutions to create the XPS 12. The product features a novel and elegant flip hinge touchscreen display designed to take advantage of the Windows 8 operating system advances for touch interaction. The result is two products in one, providing the full functionality of an ultraportable laptop with keyboard plus the convenience of a tablet.

The innovative flip hinge design can easily transition from laptop to tablet to laptop and features a Full HD screen that provides 97 percent more pixels than a standard HD display. The result is an exceptionally crisp reading and photo and video viewing experience. The XPS 12 convertible features thoughtful design, attractive aesthetics, and is crafted from premium materials such as machined aluminum and carbon fiber, as well as Corning Gorilla Glass for durability.
