Exclusive: Micromax invites for October 9 Event; Is It Funbook Talk Tablet Or 'Something Really Different'?

Its only a week past the launch of Funbook Infinity by Micromax and the India based tech consumer goods vendor seems to be highly aggressive in rolling out budget tablets to attain the second highest position in the market by the end of the financial year.

This can be said as, according to a company source Micromax is planning to release another brand new budget friendly tablet – Funbook Talk P350 at Rs 7,499 sometime around next week.

While, Micromax has not yet officially launched the Funbook Talk tablet, however, e-commerce websites such as Saholic.com and eBay.in have listed the tablet on pre-order today.

At the same time, Gizbot also received an email invite from the company for an event in New Delhi on October 9 at 11.30 am. Well this definitely has laid strong hints on the launch of the Funbook Talk tablet on the same date.

Hence, when confirmed from Micromax on the same via email, the company revealed that 'something really different' is on the way, as mentioned in the invite below 'Be a part of the smart screen progression.' However, they didn’t divulge any other information on the same.

Well, it seems that the Micromax fans will have to wait and watch till next week, what next is there in the company's basket of offerings. At the same time, those interested in the Micromax's latest tablet Funbook Talk tablet, take a look at the confirmed specs below.

Display: Speaking of the display, the budget-friendly tablet packs a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution.

Processor: On the processor front, the tablet is powered by a 1 GHz processor.

OS: Being a budget device, it is flavored with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

Camera: The tablet is equipped with a 0.3MP front facing camera for video calling, however, it lacks a rear camera of better resolution.

Memory: Funbook Talk has a 4GB internal flash storage, 512MB RAM and a micro SD card for expandable memory support up to 32GB.

Connectivity: On the connectivity front, the tablet is packed with features such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPRS and micro USB 2.0 port.

Battery: As claimed by Micromax, the tablet is loaded with a 2,800 mAh Li-ion battery which provides 5 hours talk time approximately.

Other Features

Micromax Funbook Talk comes preloaded with Google Play for downloading games, music and applications, Picasa, YouTube and Document Viewer.
