The rumors around Google's recently announced Chromebook release date vanished, when the budget device got listed on Google Play Store recently. However, as per the reports from The Verge citing Google source, Chromebook got sold out within few hours after it got listed in the Store.
According to the reports, official sources confirmed the news and stated that they are expecting a fresh stock of Google Chromebooks soon. Currently, the model which was on pre order was Wi-Fi version, however, few reports have claimed that 3G version of the same would also be made available soon.
The users who got late in purchasing the Chromebook need not get disappointed. Google has given a provision of notification on their store by which users will be notified as soon as fresh stock is available again for sale on the store. Google had started its pre-order sometime back through the popular online stores like eBay and Amazon. They have also confirmed that Chromebooks will be made available in the normal brick and motor stores too this week itself.
Google Chromebook specification look exciting which includes an 11.6 inch screen display with a resolution of 1266x768, Exynos 5 dual processor, 2GB RAM and connectivity options like USB, Bluetooth and Wifi. Price tag of this is the most exciting of all; it will come with an affordable price tag of $249 (approx Rs 12,600).
It would be relatively a light weight model with 1.1 kg having a decent memory size of 16 GB SSD and also supports Google drive memory of around 100 GB. The company also claims 6.5 hours of battery power for this new Chromebook. These specifications already created a stir in the market and that probably explains why Google Chromebook was sold out within hours of its listing in the Play Store.
