Gumdrop, an iPad accessory manufacturer, could not control their excitement over the launch of iPad Mini, which is expect to take place in next few hours. This can be said, as the company went ahead and have unveiled cases for iPad Mini model even before the official launch of the tablet.
As per the reports, this case is designed to fit in the leaked specifications of the iPad Mini version. However, there are people who see this quite risky too if the rumored specification happen to be wrong. Now all eyes are on iPad Mini launch which is expected to happen in some time at the Apple special event in California.
Gumdrop sent out three iPad Mini cases to the tech folks at Wired which are being labeled as ‘Drop Tech Series’. The cases appear rugged and seem to have a black and red color combination. They have been designed to accommodate the 7.85 inch expected display size of iPad Mini.
The cases have a volume controller placed on right edge of the case, where as there are also opening given for connecting the iPad speakers. There is a headphone jack on the top edge as well as a home button placed on the bottom side of the case. As per the rumors iPad Mini is expected to come in three variants of 16, 32 and 64GB memory size.
Gumdrop has not given any pricing information on these cases and we could not access their website to confirm the same.
