High performance Laptop from Lenovo - Lenovo X130 E

Lenovo has surely caused a stir in the market by the introduction of the X series of ThinkPad laptops. The product line has been highly successful and this led to the addition of new models into the line up. It included the X100e, X120e and X121e laptops. The newest member added to the series is Lenovo X130e Laptop.

The X series is known for its ultra-portability and its affordability. The low price and small size does not mean that it is low in features. This laptop is fully packed and can be used for home and office alike. The laptop is not yet released but the specs and features of the device are flowing around the net.

Tech-junkies have even managed to get a picture of the laptop. It looks very rugged and the keyboard is said to be very strong. The hinges and exteriors are also toughened and there is a rubber bumper on the outside lid. These design features makes it a use it anywhere kind of laptop. The laptop would be able to take the knocks and fall that it may encounter while being taken around without much fuss.

The input options would include a full size keyboard and a touch pad along with a finger print reader. Lenovo X130e Laptop is expected to have an 11.6 inch screen and the resolution of the screen is still not known. Considering the older models the device can come with a 1366 x 768 pixel display.

The older displays where very efficient and the pixel density too was very good. This ensured very good movie and image quality. The viewing angle was also very good and compared to other budget laptops and net books the screen quality is far better. The laptop is expected to have a weight of about 1.8Kg.

The older model was powered by a 6 cell battery that provided 11.1 V with 5.16Ah. The battery provided about 8 hours of back up. The new battery is also expected to provide about this much backup. The performance figures are claimed to be 132% much better than a netbook. The processor that the device would have is unknown. But we can be sure that it would be an Intel’s second generation processor. The device may have the i3 or i5 processor since it is marketed as a budget lap top.

The higher end models may offer up to 4GB in built RAM and the option to extend even further if necessary. The 320GB hard disk may come as standard equipment with the device which too can be expanded. The graphics card can be from Intel and there is very good chance that it would sport an Intel HD graphics 3000 GPU. The clock speed of the graphics card was considerably reduced to increase the battery life but turbo boost technology was offered to increase the clock speed to about 950MHz.

The pricing of Lenovo X130e Laptop is also not known. We can expect the launch of this laptop in late December or early next year. The price of the laptop is expected to be very competitive since there is lot of other laptop manufactures aiming at the budget laptop range and introducing their own products.
