Do you think it is a Hewlett Packard logo written on Apple's Macbook Air? If yes, you are massively mistaken. Californian company Hewlett Packard(HP) has come with up a notebook that's exactly similar to that of Macbook Air.
Dubbed as Elitebook Folio 1020, the new gadget carries dimensions of 15.7mm thickness and weighs just 2.2 pounds, as compared to the 13.3-inch Macbook Air which measures 17mm thick and weighs 2.96 pounds.
HP is planning to release Elitebook folio with two variants namely Elitebook Folio 1020 and Elitebook Folio 1020 Special Edition(SE). Both the variants will have razor thin structure, made of magnesium-lithium alloy and reusable carbon fiber. Further, it is packed with certified Trusted Platform Module, fingerprint reader, pre-boot authentication and HP sure start self-healing for the security purpose.
On the specification front, Elitebook Folio comes with 12.5-inch Quad HD display, Intel Core M processor, 8GB of RAM, 128SSD to 256SSD and offers 9 hours of charge. Also, the Ultrabook is equipped with 720p webcam and HD audio with DTS sound and noise cancellation softwares.
However, HP is expected to release the Elitebook Folio 1020 around February 2015 while, the special edition version will be launched on April 2015.
At present, there is no official information about the pricing from the HP authorities , we are expecting more details in the upcoming days.
