HP Launches Professional 4K and 5K Monitors at CES 2015
At the ongoing annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, PC giant HP has launched a slew of high-end monitors. The Z24s and Z27s are 4K ready monitors, while the Z27q has a 27-inch 5K resolution.
With its newly launched 27-inch 5K monitor, HP now ranks among the few notable brands that offers 5K ready monitors. Last year, Apple launched a similar sized monitor with a 5K resolution. All these monitors will cater to professional needs.

HP says the Z27s will be out in January for $729 (approx Rs 46,196), the Z24s in April for $549 (approx Rs 34,790), and the Z27q in March for $1,299 (approx Rs 82,317).
Specifications wise, the HP Z24s measures 23.8 diagonally and offers 3,480 x 2,160 resolution. It also comes with one MHL 2.0/HDMI 1.4 connection with HDCP support, one HDMI 1.4 port, one DisplayPort 1.2, and one Mini-DisplayPort for compatibility with all your smartphone.
The HP Z27s, on the other hand, offers a 4K resolution on the 27-inch screen. Like the newly announced 24-inch monitor, it comes with an array of connectivity options, including one MHL 2.0/HDMI 1.4 input.
Last but not the least, the Z27q sports a resolution of 5120 x 2880. Though the connectivity options are comparatively less. Notably, the 5K monitor has support for picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes. Basically, it lets you use two devices into one screen for the awesome experience.
All newly launched fancy monitors will come equipped with HP's Quick Release mounting feature. Whether HP is bringing these high-end monitors into India remains a burning question.
