HP is affirming its affection to Windows 8 OS. The company recently had unveiled 3 ultra portable Windows 8 machines and 3 All-in-one Windows 8 PCs. HP is now following it up with the release of 3 Windows 8 based laptops. The first on the list is Envy m4, a high end notebook which features Intel’s i3 and i5 processors.
The device has an efficient 8GB of RAM which is quite sufficient to perform heavy tasks like video and audio editing. Storage capacity stands at 1TB which has become quite a standard with high end laptops. Envy m4 also has a built in optical drive. The laptop is also sleek in design and has an impressive 14 inch HD display. To top it the device also has Beats Audio and a finger print security feature.
The other two laptops unveiled by HP include HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14 and Pavilion Sleekbook 15.These two laptops differ only in their size and almost all other specifications are similar. HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14 as the name suggests has a 14 inch screen whereas Pavilion Sleekbook 15 has a screen of 15.6 inches.
Key features of both the two devices include 1 TB of storage capacity, HDMI outputs, USB 3.0 ports and numeric keypads. All the three new laptops have an integrated feature called CoolSense. This feature uses onboard sensors to detect when a laptop is placed on user’s lap. When detection is made the notebook will automatically cool down in order to provide a comfortable experience.
Envy m4 will be available for retail purchase at a price tag of $900 (approximately Rs. 49,000) whereas HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14 and Pavilion Sleekbook 15 will be available at a price tag of $500 (approximately Rs. 27,000) and $600 (approximately Rs. 33,000).The three devices will be up for sale starting from October 26.
