HP Unveils SpectreOne, Envy and Pavilion Windows 8 All-in-One PC Range
Popular hardware manufacturer HP has announced its latest lineup of All-in-one Windows 8 desktops. Starting the luxurious list is Spectre One, a 23.6 inched desktop which has an overall thickness of 11.5mm, making it the thinnest HP All-in-one product till date. Although it lacks a touchscreen, touch facilities are compensated by a wireless trackpad which smoothly executes Windows 8 gestures.
The device will be powered by Ivy Bridge processors and will accompany a mammoth 6 GB of RAM. Other notable features of the device include 750 or 1 TB of HDD, Beats Audio and HP TrueVision camera. The desktop is also NFC enabled making it possible to work with other NFC enabled devices. After configuring a few bundled apps, users will be able to log in to Windows 8 automatically by tapping a NFC enabled phone to the base.
Spectre One will also accommodate a 1GB Nvidia graphics card and will have Adobe Photoshop suit bundled with Premiere Elements software. The device is expected to hit US markets on November 14 at a price tag of $1299(approximately Rs 72,900 INR). However; the company has not confirmed its availability in India.
Apart from Spectre One, HP is also releasing 3 other AIOs. Envy 20 and Envy 23 are two among the ‘to be released’ AIOs which fall in the mid range price tag. The devices feature 20 inch and 23 inch screens respectively with both supporting a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Envy systems will have touchscreens, Beats audio and will be powered by Ivy Bridge processors.
The third on the list, Pavilion 20 does not have a touchscreen. The 20 inched budget friendly desktop will be available with Intel and AMD chips. The Envy 20, Envy 23 and Pavilion 20 are expected to be released on October 23rd, just 3 days before the launch of Windows 8 by Microsoft. Pavilion 20 is expected to ship at a price tag of $499(approximately Rs. 28,000) whereas Envy 20 and Envy 23 will go up for sale at $849(approximately Rs. 47,000) and $1099 (approximately Rs. 61,000) respectively.
