IFA 2012: Haier Unveils Mini Pad711, Maxi Pad1012 and Phone Pad5511 based on Android
Haier the Chinese household appliance manufacturer has entered the smartphone arena by unveiling Android smartphones and tablets at the IFA 2012 in Berlin. The company has unveiled two Android based tablets and a smartphone with 5 inch display at the ongoing IFA expo.
The Chinese company has come up with two tablets – Mini Pad711 and Maxi Pad1012 – both flavored with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS alongside a smartphone dubbed as Phone Pad 5511.
Coming to the specifications of the three Android products unveiled by Haier, Mini Pad711 has a 7 inch display with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution while Maxi Pad1012 has a 9.7 inch display with 1024 x 768 pixel resolution.
Further, both the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich based tablets are equipped with a Cortex A8 processor, 8GB internal storage, which is expandable using a micro SD card slot and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity.
As far as the Phone Pad5511 is concerned, the smartphone sports a 5.4 inch display with 940 x 540 pixel resolution. It is equipped with 4GB internal storage and 8MP camera. The smartphone also runs on Android OS but the exact version is not known. Analysts assume that Phone Pad4411 might fall in the mid-range, mid-performance segment.
However, the details about the processor, RAM and battery of these devices are not known.
