Lenovo announces the launch of it's IdeaTab S2 Tablet Computer
It is high time we realize that the Tablet mania is not going to end anytime soon because it is not just the tablet models from various companies which keep on increasing, but the number of tablet manufacturers itself. There has been a considerable increase in the number of tablet manufacturer globally. A lot of firms of small scale and large scale categories started manufacturing their own versions of unique tablets.
Lenovo recently made it public that its new tablet is all set to be launched. The announcement came out to be a bit unexpected at the CES 2012, as Lenovo revealed the tablet. You might have already heard of Lenovo’s IdeaPad. Lenovo’s new tablet has a name which is quite similar to IdeaPad except that instead of “Pad”; it is “Tab” – Lenovo’s IdeaTab S2 to be exact.
Lenovo IdeaTab S2 is an Android based tablet. It will be running in the latest version of Android operating system that is v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Lenovo has made it clear that the IdeaTab S2 tablet would be a good choice for those people who want a productive device with great features.
Lenovo hasn’t disclosed the specifications as well. It seems Lenovo wants us to wait a bit longer. Lenovo IdeaTab S2 has a 10 inch multi touchscreen display. It has about 7.6mm thickness and weighs around 499 grams approximately. Maybe you haven’t noticed yet, but with this weight and thickness, IdeaTab S2 tablet is actually thinner and lighter, not to mention sleeker, than the World’s most powerful tablet – Asus Transformer Prime.
The IdeaTab S2 tablet will come with a laptop dock. The main advantage of the dock is that the tablet will get a battery life of 20 hours, but this info still needs some strong confirmation. Powered by a dual core processor (clock speed not revealed) in a Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 chipset is a powerful tablet. The IdeaTab S2 is very much desirable but its price tag is still not revealed.
