Lenovo is going to launch a new tablet with latest Microsoft Windows operating system in the near feature itself. When we consider the tablet market even if it is crowded with large number of devices in different shapes, size and different manufacturers, there is no tablet that works on the windows 8 OS.
Since the label of the first Windows 8 tablet in the market is a very interesting prospect many manufacturers are competing for the same. This label would make them stand out in the crowd of tablets where majority of them run on android operating system. The rumour is that Lenovo is all set with their devices and is just waiting for Windows 8 to roll out to be integrated on to their devices. So immediately after the windows operating system hits the shelves we can expect the same in the Lenovo tablet.
The competition is very fierce and it is not possible to confirm till now whether Lenovo will be able to make it to the title of first Windows 8 tablet because Dell is very close on their tales. According to Michael Dell they too will be introducing their tablet immediately after Windows 8 becomes available.
Not much of the Lenovo’s Windows tablet is known till now. It is said that this tablet will be powered by a processor from Intel. So we can expect that Intel’s latest mobile processor will find its way to this tablet. Lenovo Ideapad Yoga which was introduced during the consumer electronics show held during the beginning of this year seems to be an ideal contender to get this OS.
It has almost all the needed specs to go with and is indeed a very powerful machine by itself. This tablet comes with an attachable keyboard. The keyboard is placed in a 360 degree hinge so that you can rotate it to a comfortable position for ease of use. Also with the keyboard attachment the tablet works just like a complete laptop.
Other manufacturers that are eyeing the windows tablet market are Asus, Nokia, HP and Sony. According to the statements issued by Microsoft it seems like any device running on Windows 7 will be compatible with Windows 8 platform. So, minor tweaks on existing Windows 7 devices will make it capable for handling Windows 8 OS.
So in the near feature we might be seeing a flood of devices that will be running on the latest Windows operating system. This would create some stiff competition for other android tablets in the market.
