Lenovo Launches 3 New Android Tablets: IdeaTab S2110, A2109 and A2107

With so many tech manufactures taking advantage of IFA 2012, how can the second largest PC manufacturer of the world sit behind. This can be said as Lenovo has released their much-popular Ideatab S2110 at the Berlin event in a cool convertible tablet/notebook form, to compete to the likes of Samsung latest tablet PC releases and the 'King of convertible tablet category Asus Transformer Prime. Along with the Ideatab S2110, Lenovo has also introduced two smaller tablets, dubbed as A2109 and A2107.

IdeaTab S2110

The S2110 tablet has a 10.1-inch IPS LCD display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and 420nit brightness attached to a keyboard dock accompanied with a10-finger touchscreen abilities, as well as a powerful Qualcomm 8060A/8260A 1.5GHz dual-core processor. Further, S2110 will run on Android 4.0 and will come packed with a dual 1.3-megapixel front facing / 5-megapixel rear camera setup, as well as support for WCDMA / EVDO, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi. The device will be offered in two configurations -- 16GB and 32GB – however it lacks a microSD card slot for memory expansion.

Much like the Transformers, the IdeaTab S2110 features an optional keyboard dock that adds a keyboard, touchpad, full-sized USB ports, an SD card reader, and double the battery life. The S2110 will start at $399 for the tablet alone while $499 will net you the tablet and the detachable dock.

IdeaTab A2109

Secondly, Lenovo also announced a 9-inch screen tablet A2109, which will feature a 1280 x 800pixel resolution accompanied with 1.2-GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 16GB of internal storage, micro HDMI out, and front and rear facing cameras and running on Google's Android 4.0 operating system . A2109 starting price tag is around $299 which makes it a decent priced tablet as compared with most large-screen tablets.

IdeaTab A2107

The IdeaTab A2107 is the smallest of the lot with a 7-inch screen and is a direct competitor to Google's Nexus 7 tablet. The A2107 will be powered by an MTK Cortex A9 processor, 16GB of built-in memory and the standout features include a built-in roll cage for added durability, microSD expandable memory, and a built-in FM radio tuner. Meanwhile, Lenovo has not yet revealed details on specs like screen resolution and price.
