LePan introduces budget tablets at CES

LePan is not a widely known and popular brand when it comes to the tablet market but still it has several Android powered devices that are worth checking out at CES 2012. The flagship LePan III is the most noteworthy one to mention.

LePan is giving the first look at its tablets this week at the CES which are running the Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich and powered by TI OMP 4460 dual core processor with 1.5 GHz and 1GB RAM.

The other specifications of the tablet include a 5 MP camera at the rear and a 2 MP front facing camera for video calls, 8 GB storage, Bluetooth 4.0 and SD card slot. The LePan III also has support to USB, Ethernet and 1080p video output.

The TC 978 is another Android's Ice Cream Sandwich powered tablet that will be announced is quite similar to the LePan III but lacks the output options that are mentioned above. It has a slower dual core processor of 1 GHz and only a 2 MP camera at the front.

The LePan II is out for pre-orders on Amazon but has some delays. Unfortunately, this tablet has Android 3.2 and it has a dual core processor of 1.2 GHz and the camera, RAM and storage are the same as in TC978. Its screen size is given to be 9.7 inches with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels.

The LePan II will be available from Amazon and Best Buy for a price of $299.99. As of now, there is no information about its performance.
