LG A530 has a 15.6 inch display while Dell Inspiron R laptops are available in 14, 15.6 and 17.3 inch sizes. A530 is equipped with a 4 GB SSD in addition to 750 GB HDD. So obviously, faster boot ups are an asset of the LG A530. The Inspiron R also includes graphics accelerator cards but has a RAM size of up to 6 GB and HDD of up to 750 GB. Inspiron R can be customised at your will making it better and giving it great performance in all aspects. If A530 facilitates 3D, Inspiron R comes with optional Blue Ray drives, which makes it capable of reading blue ray discs and play such videos which is easy with its own GPU namely Intel HD 3000/NVIDIA GeForce cards. The Inspiron series comes with DVD/RW optical drives.
A530 has dual cameras for full 3D creation while recording videos and capturing images. Supposedly, it also comes with Blue ray features, Ethernet LAN, etc. Both of them have WiFi and Bluetooth (v2.1 A2DP) connectivity and v3.0 USB ports offering faster transmission up to 10 times, compared to a v2.0 USB port. The built in webcam of Inspiron R (17.3 inch model) can stream live video of more than 900p HD. And it comes with WiMAX feature as an optional add-on, but will enable you to tap into 4G speeds. The WiDi add-on in Dell Inspiron R can bring experiences as in theatres right in front of your couch by projecting videos, pictures, etc in HD resolution to your TV (which should of course be HD compatible). A530 makes up for its lack of such a feature with the finger print scanner for easy log in.
Both powered by 6 cell Li ion batteries, the lighter Dell Inspiron R laptops are priced starting from Rs 34,000/- in India while weighing about 2.55 kg, LG A530 has a reasonable supposed price in India of approximately Rs 43,000/- but is still unconfirmed.
