LG's G Pro Lite Dual, which was announced earlier this month, is now available in India from online retailer Snapdeal for Rs. 18,300. The handset could be called as an affordable Android phablet. LG fans are also quite excited to get the glance of the company's upcoming curved display featuring smartphone called G Flex. However, for now, lets take a look at the specs of the recently launched handset.
LG G Pro Lite Dual comes packed with 5.5-inch IPS display offering a resolution of 960 ×540 pixels.
The massive handset is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor coupled with 1GB OF RAM. The phablet runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS.
Moving on to imaging department, it incorporates an 8-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor and LED flash. The users will also find a 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter.
There are regular connectivity options in the handset which includes 3G (HSDPA: 7.2Mbps / HSUPA: 5.76Mbps), WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, GPS / aGPS. Apart from that, the company has also made the handset capable of Dual SIM support with dual standby with dedicated SIM Switch Key.
It also houses an internal storage capacity of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB with microSD. The devices measures 150.2 x 76.9 x 9.48 mm and is powered by a 3140 mAh battery.
Additionally, the LG G Pro Lite Dual comes with a Stylus Pen for handwriting that can be stored conveniently in a slot. Other features include KnockON that wakes up the display in two taps, Pause and Resume Recording for recording of short snippets of video, QSlide, QuickMemo to jot memos or notes and Q Translator.
The LG G Pro Lite Dual comes in Black and White and is priced at Rs. 18,300. The official launch is expected later this month.
Looking at the specs of the device, one can easily say that the screen resolution and processor are quite weak, so it will face a bit of hardship among the FHD devices or even HD devices. Since there are plethora of phablets already running the show in the Indian smartphone markets, the latest LG G Pro Lite Dual will have to face a tough competition. To be precise, among others, devices like Sony Xperia C, Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos, Lenovo Ideaphone S920, Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Panasonic P51. Moreover, even newly launched Micromax Turbo and Nokia Lumia 1320 will soon become its rival.
