Micromax Funbook Alpha Outed at Rs 5,999 to Set High Competition in the Budget Tablet Market
Micromax seems to have stepped up its pace in rolling out budget friendly tablets now. The tech consumer goods manufacturer has launched another brand new budget friendly tablet – Funbook Alpha at Rs 5,999.
Keeping up with the trend, Micromax has combined innovation with affordability in this new device too. With the launch of this new tablet, Micromax is hoping to consolidate its presence in the budget tablet segment in the sub-continent.
Funbook Alpha vs Other Budget Friendly Tablets
Though Funbook Alpha is comparatively cheaper compared to other tablets available in the market, it seems quite competitive when it comes to features. The device sports a luxurious 7 inch capacitive touch screen display unit with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. This makes it extremely convenient to enjoy high definition videos and games.
On the processing side, Funbook Alpha is powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Hardware buttons are absent in this tablet. Funbook Pro a product launched by Micromax in July, prior to the release of Funbook Alpha had accommodated hardware buttons. However the interface is smooth and efficient.
Funbook Alpha features a 0.3 mega pixel VGA front facing camera which is capable of facilitating smooth video chatting. The device also incorporates 512 MB of RAM along with 4 GB of internal memory.
The storage capacity is expandable and up to 32 GB with microSD card slot. All the standard connectivity features like 3G, Wi-fi, USB 2.0, and HDMI out are present in Funbook Alpha model too.
A decent 2800mAh battery powers up the device and provides up to 5 hours of browsing time. Funbook Alpha is currently available in grey colour only.
Micromas Funbook Alpha is currently up for sale in online stores like nCarry and will hit retail stores soon as per the company sources.
