Microsoft Surface RT up for Pre Order on eBay at Rs 38,490: Top 5 Reasons to Buy New Windows 8 Tablet

Microsoft Surface tablet, which was officially unveiled in June will be released into the market on October 26 at the Surface Reception event alongside Windows 8 OS. However, for the Microsoft fans in India, who would like to own the tablet prior to its official release in the market, here is some great news.

Following the release of the new Surface tablet pricing in the international market including US, reportedly it has been revealed that the Surface RT tablet is now available for pre-order on eBay.in for a price of Rs 38,490.

It is to be noted that India was not in the list of eight countries in which Microsoft has opened pre-oders. Further, the pre-order on the eBay India site is for the base 32GB model, which comes without the Touch Cover.

At the same time, a tipster @KaranBajaj has hinted BGR India of the pre-order of Surface RT on ebay.in. The report states that the listing clearly indicates that the tablet is directly imported from US and that the pre-orders will be shipped starting November 2. When it comes to the price of Surface RT, the listing claims it is Rs 38,490, however, the actual price of the tablet in US is $499 (approx. Rs 26,766).

It is already known to many now that Surface RT tablet features a 10.6-inch ClearType display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, Nvidia T30 processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, USB port, a microSDX card slot, dual 720p cameras and a battery life of up to 8 hours.

Also, the tablet will come preloaded with a preview of Office RT Home and Student editions and will get updated for free when Office 2013 is released in 2013.
