Microsoft Windows 8 Release: What Price Tags to Expect for the Best and Latest Windows 8 Devices Launched in India?

Microsoft has officially released its Windows 8 OS across the global markets following which, its hardware partners including Dell, Lenovo, HP, HCL, Acer, Asus and more will come up with their new offerings based on the OS. On the whole, the manufacturers will bring about 250 devices utilizing the latest incarnation of the Windows platform.

However, it does not meant that only the new devices will have the Windows 8 OS as Microsoft has already rolled out the Upgrade Offer for Windows 8.

How to Get Windows 8?

The software giant has confirmed that devices running on Windows XP/Vista/7 can be upgraded to Windows 8 Pro for a retail price tag of Rs 1,999. If the device was purchased in the time frame between June 2, 2012 to January 21, 2013, the consumers can upgrade to Windows 8 simply by paying only Rs 699.

Windows 8 Indian Apps

Microsoft has also made the Windows Store open for the Indian consumers to download a wide variety of apps including Bharat Matrimony, BigFlix, BookMyShow, Bookyourtable, Burrp, Dhingana, Fastrack Tees, Flyte MP3, Gaana, Goibibo, ICICI Bank iMobile, ICICIDirect, JustEat, MakeMyTrip Explore, MapmyIndia, my airtel, PVR Cinemas, Tarla Dalal, Yahoo Cricket and Zovi.
