MSI Slider S20 Windows 8 hybrid tablet with Ivy Bridge processor
With the introduction of Windows 8 OS, all electronic gadget makers are busy in introducing new and popular models incorporating the latest OS. We have seen that Acer and Asus came up with Windows 8 gadgets this week. The latest in the category is the MSI Windows 8 hybrid tablet MSI Slider S20. Robust design, multiple processor options and Windows 8 are the key highlights of this new hybrid tablet.
MSI Windows 8 hybrid tablet features an 11.6 inches display screen, however, there is no information on the resolution yet. This touch screen can be locked at an angle and thus convert it as a pseudo-laptop too. The sliding keyboard can be gently pushed to make it a portable tablet as well. This feature looks almost similar to what Asus Eee Pad Slider had.
MSI Slider S20 cannot be referred to as an ultraportable book as it is about 2 inch thick. Operating time can go up to 8 hours. The graphics performance was not that impressive in the test, but we can expect that it will be improved when it finally hits the market.
Not many details about its physical dimensions are known. But we expect all the standard features to be a part of this Windows 8 tablet like data connectivity through USB 3.0 port and wireless data transfer via Bluetooth 4.0. In addition to these common connectivity options, it also features HDMI out capability. It comes up with WiFi capability and Ethernet as well.
As per the company sources this tablet may be featuring a power efficient low-voltage Ivy Bridge processor. Storage features of this MSI Windows 8 hybrid tablet include 4 GB RAM. MSI Slider S20 is expected to arrive in the tablet market by this September. The price details of this new MSI tablet are not aware as of now. We can expect a standard price tag as it includes the advanced windows 8 OS.
The Ivy Bridge powered model is expected to arrive at a hefty price tag of around Rs. 56,000/-. The low end model will be having lesser price. This tablet will reach the market in shiny white outfit.
