With the laptop manufacturers Intel, Asus, Acer already announcing their new range of super laptops, the competition is sure to get stiff in the market.

The new innovation in the field is ultraportable light weight laptops. The new laptops are nicknamed Ultrabooks. The size zero laptops will be the new introduction that can be expected from almost all reputed manufacturers in the laptop business. The new laptops are said to be inspired from the tablet gadgets which are light weight and sleek, at the same time, feature rich.

With the introduction of tablets and similar other gadgets, computing was taken to a whole new level. With even smart phones offering features and services similar or even more than the most advanced laptops and notebooks in the market, a majority of the users started to show interest towards such superior performing devices. Eventually the manufacturers started to recognize the reduced demands of comparatively heavy laptops and note books.

In order to boost up the reduced interest of customers in Laptops, the concept of ultra portable new laptops was developed.

The main advantage of the tablets and similar gadgets are their reduced weights making it highly portable. The new Ultrabooks will have the very same advantage. It will be even lighter in weight. The refined laptops will now have a sleek design with ultra thin body size.

It is predicted that in India, Asus will initiate the revolution of the new refined laptop and their sales with the company launching their new light weight edition UX21. The laptops will be introduced in the first quarter of next year. The laptops will be having an estimated price of RS 50,000 in India. The launch will be followed by Acer Ultrabooks release.

The technology behind Ultra books will be provided by Intel; with the world's largest chip maker investing a $300 million to fund the Ultrabooks. The Company has high hopes and believes that it would possibly replace 40% of the today's laptops in service to Ultra book by the end of next year.

The Ultra book will generally have a physical specification of a 1 inch thickness and a 1Kg weight. The new gadgets will sport an 11-13 inch display with cute keyboard. The device will have improved battery backup too. The data transfer options like USB 2.0 ports can also be found. The Ultrabooks will have all the other general features the laptops and notebooks feature.

But posing the threat to Ultra book is again Apple with the company already having their new edition laptop which in fact has all the Ultra book specifications, Apple Macbook!
