According to a new report Apple is indeed planning to release a new version of its 21.5-inch iMac with a 4K display somewhere round the end of this year.
The Cupertino giant's plans to announce a refreshed version of the smaller iMac by the end of October alongside OS X El Capitan. The all new iMac is expected to start shipping by the beginning of November.
As indicated by references of the OS X El Capitan, the new 21.5 inch iMac's 4K display will come with a resolution of 4096 x 2304, which is way more than what is found in the existing model - Full HD (1920x1080).
Tipster also hint at a faster processor and improved color saturation level. Due to the bump up in resolution, it is expected that the price of the iMac will be elevated too.
