Nexus 10: Top 5 10-Inch Rivals to Challenge the New Google and Samsung Tablet
When it comes to the talk about Nexus devices, Google and Samsung have joined hands for the third time to launch the Nexus 10 tablet based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Earlier, the two companies partnered to launch Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus smartphones.
On October 29, Google unveiled three Nexus devices including LG Nexus 4, Samsung Nexus 10 and the 32GB variant of the existing Asus Nexus 7 through its blog post alongside the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean incremental update.
Speaking of Samsung Nexus 10, the 10 inch tablet of the Nexus lineup, Samsung has incorporated an amazing display of 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution in the device to make similar to the Retina Display in Apple iPad.
Coming to the specs of Nexus 10, the tablet features a 10.1 inch display with a resolution of 1560 x 1600 pixels and 300 ppi pixel density. Also, Nexus 10 houses a 1.7GHz A15 dual-core processor, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, 16GB and 32GB internal storage options, 2GB RAM and a 9,000 mAh Li-ion battery offering up to 9 hours video playback and 500 hours standby.
Based on Android 4.2 OS, the tablet has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, micro USB, micro HDMI, dual side NFC and GPS+Glonass connectivity features.
Nexus 10 will be priced at $399 (approx. Rs 21,500) and $499 (approx. Rs 27,000) for 16GB and 32GB variants from November 13 onwards on the Google Play Store in U.S., U.K., Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Japan and Canada. The availability of the tablet in India is still not known, however, analysts are anticipating the tablet will also launch in India alongside Nexus 4, sometime in November.
