Nokia to release 10 inch Windows 8 tablet
Nokia, which is a well known in the technology sector with its high end stake in the smartphone market, is all set to release a 10 inch Nokia Windows 8 Tablet. Sources suggest that the much awaited Nokia Windows 8 tablet is ready to be unveiled by the fourth quarter of 2012.
As per the sources, it is clear that Nokia is about to make use of a dual core Qualcomm snapdragon s4 chipset for its expected 10 inch version of the tablet. It is expected that the first batch of the device will be out from the conveyor belts and it will be close to 2 lakh units. The release of the tablet is seen by analysts as a possible attempt by Nokia to apparently enter the ever growing tablet market and the release of this Nokia Windows 8 tablet can be considered as a first step towards achieving that goal.
One of the major attractions of this Nokia tablet is that it will be running on the upcoming Windows 8 platform. Sources suggest that the success of Nokia Lumia smartphone has given a big boost to the company to release this 10 inch tablet version of Nokia.
Windows 8 operating system is expected to be more user-friendly than that of Windows Phone 7 platform with Windows 8 featuring a touch interface which seems to be much more tablet suited. The touch interface seems to be a replication of the Windows Phone 7 Metro User Interface.
The year 2012 is all set to witness release of a wide range of tablets with Apple already releasing its latest version of iPad with high resolution display. And not to forget the tablets that are using the popular android operating system for improved performance levels. Finally Windows-on-ARM is also expected to provide the stiffest competition in the tablet market.
Nokia is placing its feet on a competitive market where it is expected to face some of the stiffest competitions from its contenders. But with the high reputation the company has for its electronic products, the extent of success for its Nokia Windows 8 tablet is sure to exceed the user expectations.
As of now, there had been no official confirmation as well as information regarding the detailed specifications or pricing of this 10 inch tablet version of Nokia. The only details known is that it is expected to arrive with a 10 inch display and will be making use of Windows 8 operating system.
