India is about to witness a huge competition among some of the behemoths in tablet manufacturing. The home grown company Reliance has announced the launch of a 3G tablet. The highly feature integrated new tablet pc will be India's first Android tablet. Also in the race will be the latest tablet from Olive Telecom, who just announced their latest introduction, Olivepad VT100.The Company announced that the launch of their full specification tablet in Indian markets will occur very soon.

What makes Olivepad VT100 special is that the new tablet pc in addition to having all the specifications and features of a tablet can also make calls, which will be one of its unique selling features and one major advantage. The android tablet from reliance claims that their fully loaded tablet will be made available in the market at affordable prices.

Talking about the features of both the tablets, the tablet from Reliance, in fact is customized and manufactured by a Chinese company, ZTE. The tablet has a 7-inch capacitive touch screen display with a RAM of 512 MB. Equipped with two 2MP cameras, one in the front and one in the rear, the Android Gingerbread powered tablet can store data up to 32 GB.

Olivepad VT100 too features a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen with an internal memory of 512 MB. The tablet has a 3MP camera to its advantage and also enabled with 4X zoom. The tablet OS is Android.

Connectivity options got enhanced in both the tablets. Reliance 3G Tab has the fully refined support of Reliance 3G networks offering superior performance. The highlighted features in the tablet will be its Mobile TV application, followed by voice calling. GPS applications are also preloaded in the device. Other general communication utilities like SMS, MMS, email, blogs, etc are also available. Social networking will be at its best in the tablet with access to thousands of downloadable applications in the Android market.

Olivepad VT100 includes all the above said features and application supports in it and in addition offers several accessorial software and organizer applications like a world clock, a stopwatch, compass, G sensors etc. The tablet will have a standard 3.5 mm audio jack and 802.11 Wi-Fi supports. Reliance 3G Tab can act much more professional; with its variant document format support giving the user to edit and manage even MS office documents like Microsoft Excel, Word, Power point presentations and PDF attachments.

Reliance 3G Tab users gets the added advantage of its superior performance network support at a very affordable price of just RS.12999, while Olivepad VT100 is said to have a price tag of about RS.19990 in India.
