Origin PC provides advanced gaming option for EON15-S

EON15-S & EON17-S are popular gaming laptops from Origin PC that have already gained much appreciation among gaming admirers. Now they are again in news with the inclusion of a Kepler-based GeForce GTX 680M graphics unit. Other than this new graphics option, the basic specs remain the same as with the models announced earlier.

NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 680M is an advanced graphics unit, which is yet to be available commercially. So our knowledge is limited to some initial reports on the same. But the features listed out by NVIDIA are something quite interesting that will boost up the overall graphics performance. EON15-S & EON17-S from Origin PC was featuring GTX 675M in the older version and there is a lot to expect in the new version.

It is expected to have a positive impact on the battery life an also reduce the amount of heat generated. As per Nvidia, the new GTX680M unit is claimed to have better battery power because of the Optimus technology.

28-nanometer Kepler-architecture based graphics engine will definitely enhance the overall graphics performance of these laptops. It may feature 4GB of video memory to compliment the overall gaming efficiency.

Origin PC’s EON15-S gaming laptop features a 15.6 inches display with 1920 x 1080 resolution. It measures 1.69 x 15.04 x 10.08 in and weighs 6.8 lb. It comes up with a Core i5 processor with 2.5 GHz for faster gaming actions. Users will be offered a comfortable interface with Windows (7) as well.

Origin PC’s EON17-S gaming laptop features a 17.3 inches display with 1920 x 1080 resolution. It measures 1.79 x 16.22 x 10.87 in and weighs 8.6 lb. It also comes up with the same processor and clock speed just like EON15-S gaming laptop. The operating system is also the same.

There is no idea like how much will be the extra payment for the upgrade into the NVIDIA’s latest processor. However, there is some talk in the air on a likely update in the cost as company had to spend roughly Rs. 10,000/- per piece to make it compatible with the latest graphics unit when compared with the earlier versions featuring GTX 675M. So we can expect some standard price hike around the same margin.
