Panasonic Toughbook gets refreshed with Ivy Bridge
We have already seen a lot of notebooks and desktops getting refreshed with the most advanced Ivy Bridge processors. The latest in the category is the Panasonic Toughbook CF-19 which is a convertible notebook. The Core i5 processor with 3.3GHz clock speed is the notable enhancement in this refreshed model from Panasonic. The other significant difference from the earlier version is the design change.
Panasonic Toughbook CF-19 comes designed in a rugged magnesium case which improvises its appearance. The gadget features a 10.1 inch touchscreen which is wide enough for watching movies and playing advanced games with ease and comfort. The screen has 6000-nit brightness which will help to view pictures with clarity even in direct sunlight. This standard display also has an integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics which further enhances video and gaming experience. The display screen also comes with an optional dual-touch panel to contribute to the user convenience, as well.
With the inclusion of the Ivy Bridge processor of Intel, users will be brought to a reliable level of efficiency. They can easily perform multitasking without feeling any lag and can also have reliable web experience. The integrated features which come along with this Ivy Bridge processor make it a user friendly convertible notebook, as well. A good battery life that extends up to 10 hours is an added advantage with this model.
Panasonic Toughbook CF-19 offers a standard storage capacity of 500GB hard drive with alternatives for SSD upgrades. The data transfer facilities include USB 3.0 port along with a USB 2.0 port and also serial port or PC Card slot for legacy connectivity. Good web browsing options with this Panasonic convertible book is assisted by mobile broadband with HSPA+ upgrade.
For high-rise environments, the device can be set to "concealed mode" which disables the backlight, speakers, status LEDs etc. It even disables the broadcasted communication options including Wi-Fi, 3G, and Bluetooth.
This MIL STF 810G-tested Toughbook from Panasonic successfully passed criteria like shock, heat, dust, and even impact resistance. Panasonic Toughbook CF-19 with Ivy Bridge Processor is expected to hit the computer market most probably by July. The price tag of this convertible notebook from Panasonic comes closer to Rs 2,00,000/-.
