Rcom To Launch 7 Inch Tablet
All kinds of tablets are available in the Indian market today ranging from affordable ones to hi end expensive ones. Almost all mobile phone manufacturing companies and computer manufacturing organizations have come up with their own tablets varying in specs or sometimes with similar specifications. Supposedly India receives them well and continues to support new tablets as well. Realizing their opportunity, Reliance Communications has decided to bring in their new tablet to India.

Reliance 7 inch Tablet will feature a 7 inch display screen and will be running in the Android v2.3 Gingerbread OS in 512 MB RAM. Reportedly, RCom Tablet supports upto 32 GB memory extensibility. Other features include preinstalled MS Office, pdf reader, social networking applications etc. Unconfirmed reports say that RCom tablet sports a 2 Megapixel camera and will support 3G and WiFi connectivities. Highlighted specs include Mobile TV, voice calling and GPS facilities.

Even though it's RCom tablet, the manufacturing will be taken care of by Coolpad Communications which is a Hong Kong based Company. Coolpad themselves are preparing launch an array of mobile handsets and tablets in India soon, probably next year. Coolpad didn't reveal many details on the tablet even when facing a lot of questions about it but stated that they analysed Indian Markets well enough to realize that the data usage in CDMA networks are potentially bound to offer great profit and that is the reason why they will be focusing on CDMA more.

The Managing Director of Coolpad Communications, Sami Al Lawati also stated that they won't be promoting the RCom Tablet products using Mass media as they are not a Mass market brand but instead they will be appointing their executives in all Reliance Stores to help people choose the best Coolpad devices. The executives will also be providing instructions on using the devices properly and will also help with the repair needs. The Cool pad Communications MD also said that the company wants to assure all their consumers that they would be supported well and will be made to know much about their brand as well.

Lawati also indicated that from their of CDMA consumers in the Indian Market, it'd become clear to them that many people have been attracted to CDMA dongles for data. The company understood that these users, most of them, are likely to want to have the same experience on their mobile phones. So Cool pad wants to let those users know that they would be launching hi speed CDMA handsets categorized as EDVO which can be kept for data and, also supports GSM SIMs, letting the users make calls and SMSs.

Reportedly Cool pad is discussing the matter with Major CDMA networks providers of India namely Tata Docomo and MTS. Cool pad aims to team up with the above mentioned companies which they think would be very profitable. Apparently the ultimate outcome if such a team up happens to be, is that there will be Open Market CDMA handsets (OMH) which are not restricted to just one network. Let's see if they can pull this out.

RCom Tablet for Reliance Communications has price in India around Rs 13,000/-.
