Reliance launches 3G Tab for Rs 14,499

Reliance Communications has announced the launch of a 3G tablet based on the Android operating system. The price in India of the tablet is Rs 14,499. Previously, RCom has already launched an Android tablet that is available in GSM and CDMA versions.

The new Reliance 3G Tab sports a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. The device is powered by a high speed 1.4 GHz processor and is equipped with a 512 MB RAM. The Reliance 3G Tab has a 3 MP rear camera and a VGA front camera for video calling. The device is based on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

The most fabulous part is that, the service provider offers free benefits worth Rs 6,250 for its 3G subscribers. They can enjoy 3 GB free 3G data and free video calling for both STD and local for a quarter. It also offers free voice rental for a year for the postpaid consumers with free International calling for Rs 250, McAfee Mobile Security subscription for a year and free BigFlix subscription for two months. The package of the tablet includes a 4 GB micro SD card.

During the announcement of the tablet, the head of marketing, Reliance Communications said that the Reliance 3G Tab will enhance the user experience with the seamless 3G network that packs exciting offers at an affordable price point.
