Both Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Asus EEE Pad Transformer will have a 1GHz dual core Nvidia processor and a 1GB RAM. The display in Samsung is a 10.1 inch TFT-LCD. The capacitive touchscreen with a 1280 X 800 resolution is provided in both the tablets. Though Asus Transformer has a different IPS Display, the quality is almost same as that to the Samsung Tab 10.1. Enhanced and improved connectivity features can be found in the tablets. With Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth, mini-USB and a HDMI utility, connectivity options have never been made this better in any tablets currently in the run.
Internal memory measurement is found to be same in the tablets. Asus EEE Pad gets its lead with an external MicroSD slot providing an expandability provision of memory up to 32 GB, while Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 lacks one.
When it comes to portability, Asus Transformer Tablet is smaller than the latest thin design Galaxy Tab 10.1. It has its dimension, 271 X 171 X 12.98 mm, which is a bit undersized when compared to the 256.2 X 172.9 X 8.6mm of Galaxy 10.1 Tab. But it's a bit heavier too, with 680 grams where Galaxy weighs a much lesser 595 grams. Asus has in it, a front facing camera of 1.2 Mega Pixel and a rear facing camera of 5Mega Pixel. At the same time, HD videos and images can be captured with a 3 Mega Pixel camera set in Galaxy 10.1. Transformer is said to have some troubles while image capturing, but a soon to be released software will have the problem fixed.
Samsung Galaxy 10.1 will be up for grabs soon, meanwhile the launching date of Asus EEE Pad Transformer is yet to be announced.
