Comparing the physical aspects, both the tablets look almost the same but BlackBerry PlayBook is a bit slimmer and also light weight. The design is clean, compact and looks very professional. There are no annoying extra buttons and the design is kept as minimalist as possible.

The storage space on BlackBerry device is very generous. The device comes in internal storage capacities of 16 GB, 32 GB and also 64 GB. There is also 1 GB of RAM to aid in the working of the device where as Amazon Kindle fire has just 8 GB of internal storage space and 512 MB of RAM. 8GB of storage is not very bad but compared to BlackBerry it looks very inferior. But Kindle Fire is provided with cloud storage options so additional data can be uploaded online.

The display in both the tablets is of capacitive multi touch type. The resolution is also same and at 1024 x 600 pixels. The kindle Fire has an added advantage of having a Gorilla Glass covering for the display.

BlackBerry PlayBook comes with a price tag of about Rs. 20,000/- where as Amazon Kindle Fire has a price range is around Rs. 15,000/-.
