Two new tablets launched in Indian market
Mangal Electronics is going to launch two new tablets in India. They are dubbed as MyPad and YUP tablets. The company has been till now concentrating on other electronic devices like pocket sized projectors and touch door locks. Since they have made their presence felt in other sectors, now they have decided to concentrate on the tablet PC industry in India.
With these tablets the affordable tablet PC segment in India will surely heat up. Already tablets like Aakash and Classpad has put India on spot light all around the world. These tablets got a huge number of advanced booking even before they were released. These high sales figures prompt other manufacturers to come up with their own devices.
MyPad is a 7 inch tablet. It works on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. YUP tablets run on Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system. The device comes with a 10.1 inch screen. YUP tablets are available in two variants that have different colour finish. Either you can choose the chrome with black finish or you can opt for the all white glossy finish. Both the colour options look very nice and have a very compact and comfortable size.
Gaurav Jajodia, the director of Mangal electronics has said during a press conference that the tablet PC would change the dynamics of Indian computer and mobile segment since tablets are going to be an affordable solution for the users data as well as voice requirements. He also added that at their manufacturing plants the most latest of technologies are added in their tablets and even then the costs are kept to an affordable level. MyPad and YUP tablets appears to adhere to these statements.
The tablets will differ in their specifications. The top end versions of these tablets will be powered by a 1 GHz processor. They will have connectivity options like 3G and Wi-Fi. These tablets will be apt for business and entertainment purposes and they will come preloaded with the much needed applications like MS Word, Excel etc.
The tablets are provided with dual cameras that can be used for taking picture on the go and also for video calls. The built in GPS module ensure that you have a complete access to maps and navigation applications.
MyPad and YUP tablets are already available in stores throughout the country. The price tag of these tablets start from Rs. 5000/-.
