The AIO desktop display featuring a touch screen, VSD220 Smart Display, was launched by ViewSonic. The device is named so because the screen is a 22-inch long touch display, with a full HD resolution monitor (1920 x1080). It is designed to run on Android 4.0 platform (Ice-Cream Sandwich) and possesses a powerful dual core OMAP4430 ARM processor with a frequency of 1.0 GHz.

VSD220 Smart Display has 8 GB internal memory, SRS Premium Sound speakers, a micro SD card and a 1.2 MP webcam which is built-in along with an integrated microphone. It has a Micro HDMI port and three USB ports for connectivity, Network connection options like RJ45, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are also provided.

The product will be available in market from December at a price of Rs. 31,999 with the promise that freebies worth Rs. 2,000 will be given for early buyers.

According to ViewSonic, the VSD220 Smart Display has been engineered keeping in mind the present cloud connected world. The company is embracing a transition from the PC, offering a range of display solutions which are connected, calling Smart Displays as the future in connected computing.
