CES 2015: Jonathan Adler and Garmin Announces Vívofit 2 Fitness Smartband

Garmin Inc today announced a partnership with renowned potter, designer and author Jonathan Adler, introducing a new collection of chic, pattern-printed accessory fitness bands for the company's popular daily activity tracker Vívofit and the newly announced Vívofit 2.

The band will feature several Jonathan Adler's signature patterns and it will have a variety of interchangeable designs which will be available for Vívofit 2 as well as Vívofit, thus helping users to stay active no matter what the occasion is.

The desined band can be worn 24/7, as the Vívofit 2 features one-year battery life and is water resistant, so the users rarely have to take it off. In addition the visual move bar on its always-on display, it features audible alerts that remind users when it's time to get up and be on the move.

It monitors all the progress made in a day via tracking steps, calories, distance, sleep, and features a newly added backlight so users can easily check their stats during day or night. During workouts users can pair Vívofit 2 with a compatible heart rate monitor2 to track heart rate and zone data, or use its stopwatch feature to record timed activities with or without a heart rate monitor.

During the day Vívofit 2 automatically syncs with paired mobile devices which can connect upto 3 devices through the Garmin Connect Mobile app, so users can see a complete picture of daily activities. In Garmin Connect through a free online fitness community, users can track sleep patterns and trends, join online challenges and earn virtual badges for extra motivation. For detailed calorie tracking users can link their Garmin Connect account with MyFitnessPal to compare calories burned and consumed, plus see their net count for the remaining of the day based on goals set in MyFitnessPal.
