DJI Inspire 1 Pro Black Edition and Phantom 3 4K professional camera drones launched
DJI is one of the most reputed Chinese players when it comes to the camera drone market. With its Phantom 3 line and professional Inspire 1 model DJI has made quite a name for itself in the global market. Now the company is kicking off 2016 by launching two new models - Phantom 3 4K and Inspire 1 Pro Black Edition - which are basically tweaked successful last generation drones.
The DJI Inspire 1 Pro Black Edition is the costlier of the two recently launched models, targeted at users looking for high-end filmmaking equipment thanks to its high quality 16MP camera. It now comes in a black colour with a black control which is marked departure from the all white predecessor. The pricing however is quite steep at $4,449, which roughly translates to Rs 2.89 lacs.
On the other hand the Phantom 3 4K is markedly cheaper at $999 (i.e. Rs 64,935 approx.) and now comes with a slightly inferior controller over its last generation due to the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi vide downlink. This now allows you to control the quad copter from a distance of 1.2km. This is fairly lower than the Phantom Professional's 5km range. The USP of the new drone however lies in the fact that it can shoot official DCI 4K formats.
