The top executive over at Intex has clarified that the company will launch a 4.5-inch Firefox OS-based smartphone with modified hardware in April next year. It would be priced around Rs. 5,000. Mr. Kumar, however, has not revealed the specifications of the said device.

We've also got to know that Mozilla, the company behind Firefox OS, is currently working out a way to add more applications to its app store before the second-generation Firefox OS-based handsets will go on sale next year.

While there's a lot of buzz around the wearable gadgets, such as smartwatches and fitness-centric bands, Mr. Kumar said they are closely monitoring on this segment of the market as well.
