Samsung Gear S3, Asus ZenWatch 3, HTC One A9s & More Devices Announced at IFA 2016
The day 1 of IFA 2016 is over. IFA is the largest consumer electronics trade show in happening in Europe at Berlin. The show is from September 2 to September 8, but the pre-event press conferences are over and there have been a slew of launches that have happened across categories.

Samsung unveiled Gear S3
As it was expected, Samsung unveiled the Gear S3 smartwatch with better features. It is powered by Tizen as its predecessor and supports LTE. It is much larger and comes in two models - a classic and a rugged Frontier model. The latter has GPS integration too. The device features a rotating bezel too. Both models have IP68 certification for water resistance, NFC, Samsung Pay support and an inbuilt speaker. There is the emergency SOS and location tracking support too. The Gear S3 is integrated with BMW's personal mobility companion too. These will be released in October and the classic model will be priced at $299 (approx. Rs. 20,000).
Moto Z Play, Lenovo Yoga Book, and Yoga 910
Motorola and Lenovo have launched the Moto Z Play, a mid-range smartphone. This device supports Moto Mods and it has a good battery life, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a great camera. Lenovo also announced a new Hasselblad True Zoom Moto Mod with 10x zoom and Xenon flash. The company also unveiled the Yoga Book, which is a new ultrabook that comes in both Android and Windows flavors as well as a new convertible touchscreen laptop called the Yoga 910.
Asus ZenWatch 3 and More
Asus announced the ZenWatch 3, its first round smartwatch featuring a 1.39-inch AMOLED display, Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor, and HyperCharge charging technology. It also announced tablet called ZenPad 3S 10 with a big 9.7-inch 2048 x 1536 display, MediaTek 8176 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of on-board storage. It also features a fingerprint sensor. It revealed details of ZenBook 3, Transformer 3 Pro, Transformer 3, and ROG G701VI notebooks and launched a 15-inch monitor called the ZenScreen weighing just 2 pounds and it is claimed to be world's lightest and slimmest full HD portable monitor.
Acer Liquid Z6, Z6 Plus, Predator 21 X and Chromebooks
Acer has announced two new Android devices at IFA - Liquid Z6 and Z6 Plus. The Liquid Z6 is an entry-level device and the Z6 Plus is a decent mid-ranger and both run Android Marshmallow. Acer also announced a slew of other products including the world's first curved screen laptop, the Predator 21 X and Chromebook R13 with a 13-inch 1080p display, 4GB of RAM and USB Type-C port. There five laptops as well including Acer Spin 7, Swift 1, Swift 3, Swift 5, and ultra thin Swift 7.
HTC One A9s
HTC has announced the One A9s that is similar to iPhone in terms of design. There is a 5-inch HD 720p display and a quad-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor paired with 2 GB of 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB or 32 GB of internal storage. There is a micro USB port, 13MP camera f/2.2 aperture, and a 5 MP selfie shooter at the front. The battery is a 2,300 mAh one in the HTC One A9s.
