FEX Watch: This E-Ink Watch can Change Face and Strap Design
It may not be as forward looking as the Moto 360, but the FES Watch will truly take your breath away. Japanese start-up company Fashion Entertainments has developed a watch with an e-ink face, much like the Pebble. Plus, the FES Watch comes with an e-ink strap which can change its design.
Well, the FES Watch doesn't have a smartwatch-like features or functionality. Basically, it is a normal wrist watch, with a few add-on features.
The watch has an ability to change the face and strap, depending upon your wishes. The e-ink watch comes with as many as 24 designs.
The FES Watch uses thin electronic paper, which is light and bendable in nature. There's no word yet when the start-up company would start shipping the watch.
As of now, the watch is listed on Japanese crowd funding site Makuake, and will be priced somewhere around $106 or Rs. 6,466. Initially, it will be made available in Japan, but if successful, it could go on sale in other parts of the world.
FEX Watch - Our take
The FEX Watch is looking really cool, although it's not exactly the most elegant watch we've ever seen. The best part, however, is the ability to change the design. All we can say about the FEX Watch is that it is a mere fashion accessory nothing else.
